Woodland Weddings and Magical OccasionsAlbion Days has a belief, that any Life Celebration, be it Birth, Wedding or Wake should be as connected to nature as the much as the people are to each other.
A lady once said to me “ I want to hear birds sing as I go up the aisle”....perfect!
An Albion Day is one of understated perfection, every detail is is attended to from the brides bouquet made fresh from the hedgerow that morning to the decorated candle lit trees. Medieval Pavilions, Grand Yurts, Rustic Furniture, Fire Braziers and Sculpted Willow all make for a truly natural organic feel.
We encourage picnic weddings, where after the ceremony everybody sits down to share food, (we are not about sit down meals!), then perhaps a Storyteller can enthral the young and old before the evenings entertainment of Hog Roasts, Live Music and Dancing begins.
But then, these are our ideas, which we will happily bestow on you, or you may have dreams of your own, of which we are sure we can make come true
“I want to get married under an oak tree In the woods, taken to the aisle on horseback with my dogs trotting at my side. I want to walk with my love under willow arches dressed with hawthorn and pass by my family and friends as they look on from rustic benches, we will share our food, listen to stories and dance round a fire to the sound of a fiddle, then, retire to medieval pavilion where my love will wrap me in furs, and his arms. I want an old fashioned day done an old fashioned way, simple yet sophisticated, and utterly original”This was the conversation I had with my sister t hat led to the inspiration behind Albion Days.We can provide a venue situated just 15 minutes from Norwich city centre, in the grounds of an old romantic Victorian Rectory, here is a beautiful woodland glade with an undeniable charm all of its own.
Small intimate weddings for just the two of you or grand day long events, indeed any occasion where people wish to gather is catered for. Alternatively , all our tents, furniture and crew are available to dress a location of your choice, be it your back garden, or by a woodland stream.
An Albion Day is also extremely economical compared the average wedding cost, as the day is held in one place movement between locations is minimised. Acoustic musicians, locally sourced catering, ethical dress makers and copyright free photographers all contribute to a moral and environmentally aware occasion.
